Hello Great Voice,

What’s the difference  between a sometimes voice talent and a full time voice talent?

A sometimes voice talent might book the occasional job from an audition or a friend. They do a happy dance and tell everyone they know.

But when the excitement wears off they have no clue where their next job is going to come from, nor do they have a plan to market their services and create a reliable stream of voice over income.

Sometimes voice talent are:
  • Disorganized (and embarrassed about their mess)
  • Sporadic in their marketing efforts
  •  Disappointed by ‘one and done’ customers
  • Shocked by unexpected estimated tax bills
  • Clueless about invoices and past due accounts
  • Flummoxed by client agreements
  • Puzzled about whether or not they need to incorporate
  • Stymied by price sheets
  • Clueless about how to  set up their website and what to put on it.
  • Nervous about keeping in touch and afraid to make a pest of themselves
Can you relate, even just a little?
Full-time voice talent on the other hand …
  • Have a reliable group of customers who buy from them again and again.
  • Are able to predict with some certainty how much revenue they’ll make from their voice over business every week, month and year.
  • Have built and implemented a dependable voice over marketing system, so their business is always growing and fed by a fresh stream of leads.
  • Are not just another voice, but a  trusted partner in the growth of their customers’  businesses.
  • Don’t have to audition for jobs. Their customers call and hire them whenever they need a voice.
  • Are the ongoing voice of a product or brand.
  • Make most of their voice over money from repeat business, not one-off jobs.
  • Have a voiceover business that grows from referrals
  • Have regular systems and processes in place so they don’t have to stress about paperwork, taxes and legal stuff.
  • Think of their new voice over business as the best thing they ever did for themselves!
So look.. maybe you’ve recently retired and never want to hear the word business again.

Maybe you think of yourself as a creative who doesn’t “do” business.

Or just maybe it’s finally dawning on you that there really is a business of voice over and you better learn the ropes if you want to have success.

If that’s the case, I’ve got great news!

Introducing my new Business of Voice Over Coaching & Action program (BOVO for short.)

My BOVO Coaching program is not just about getting a customer, it’s about keeping them.

It’s about honoring your talent with processes and systems in place to allow your creativity to flourish as you grow your new voice over business.

And it’s about being part of my inner-circle and part of a community of like-minded great voices who will support you, and hold you accountable so you can do what you need to do to launch your new voice over business.

Yes, Susan! Please Give Me All The Details…
The BOVO coaching program consists of twelve 30-day sprints to help you complete the most important milestones to set up and grow your voice over business.

It includes a scheduled monthly group call  with your coaching cohort where I kick off the monthly sprint by outlining your milestones for the month, help you set up your action plan for success, answer your questions and facilitate roleplay.

Each month, you will complete one or more important VO business-building milestones by following my checklists, cheat sheets and expert guidance.

As a result, you’ll have a clear roadmap to your goals and the support you need to achieve them.

You will:
  • Set up your CRM (customer relationship management software), the ‘control center’ of your new business. We’ll recommend a vendor and show you how to use this vital piece of software step-by-step so you stay organized and focused in your marketing efforts.
  • Create and optimize your LinkedIn profile for your new voice over business. Start growing your Linked In connections to network productively.
  • Build and launch your new Voice Over website following our templates (if you’re not “techy,” don’t worry, I’ll be sharing my Rolodex of trusted vendors to do it for you).
  • Get referrals from friends and associates using my proven ‘Wedding List’ and ‘Warm Letter’ method.
  • Establish your price sheet.  Master the skill of quoting rates and selling your services, so you can get paid what you’re worth.
  • Discover how to set up a profitable voice over storefront on Fiverr, the world’s largest freelance site, launch your Fiverr gig and start getting jobs!
  • Establish yourself on the Upwork freelance site, and start bidding for jobs using Upwork Connects
  • Learn about the subscription-based, pay-to-play casting sites. Sign up and start getting auditions
  • Talent agent submissions. Write a cover letter for review and submit your demo following published guidelines.
  • Identify a custom list of targeted leads on LinkedIn. Request connections and follow your targets to build relationships and get voice over jobs.

But that’s not all! Building a business can be lonely, especially when family and friends don’t ‘get’ what you’re trying to accomplish.

That’s why we assign every BOVO coaching member to an Accountability Pod.

An Accountability Pod is a small group of 2 or more microphone buddies who meet regularly, in-between our monthly group meetings, for encouragement, accountability, and support.

You’ll make friends, get inspired, and enjoy the company of a group of talented, like-minded individuals.
BONUS:  Members-Only Celebration Event!!
Every BOVO coaching member, gets a complimentary ticket to an exclusive in-person celebration at the Great Voice studios in Old Tappan, NJ in 2025 TBA. Meet and network with your microphone buddies, enjoy food, fun, fellowship and special live training sessions in my studio. It’s been years since I’ve done a live event and I’m so excited about the opportunity to meet and coach you face-to face! People have paid as much as $1500 to attend my famous in-studio Bootcamps. As a BOVO coaching member, you can attend this in-studio celebration  with your new voice over friends for free!
What Is The Investment For This Incredible Program?
Before I give you the specifics, let’s do a quick thought experiment to show what The Business of Voice Over Coaching program can really mean to your new voice over business.

Let’s say you land just ONE client as a result of your BOVO membership.

Yes, just one. And let’s say that using my system, you turn that client into repeat business. You serve that client for years to come. How much do you think they would be worth to you?

I can’t say exactly, of course.

But what if as a result of  this program you land two clients? Or three clients? Or four clients? And what if using my simple referral methods, you turn those clients into your “unpaid sales team,” and they refer even more clients to you?

Well then my friend, this one program could be worth some serious revenue to your new voice over business in the next few years alone!

Over   the course of my own voice over career I’ve had not one, but two customers with 7-figure lifetime value--AT&T and Citi, who I still record for today.

I say this not to brag, but to underscore that everything I teach in The BOVO Coaching Progam comes from practical, real-world experience. I teach proven methods for growing your business that work!

But don’t just take my word for it. Take a second to read just a few of the tangible, hard-core results my Private Mentor clients achieve:
“Generous compensation on my very first job!”

“I booked a voice over for Boeing! 75 pages long in Italian and English and received VERY generous compensation. I’m absolutely floored. Thanks sooo much!”
Vincent Stancarone, Woodstock, NY

Boston area voice talent doubles her income

“My time with you in NY was a tremendous help. I doubled my income over the summer and felt worthy of some outstanding new rates.” Moneen Daley Hart, Auburn, Ma

“My client actually paid me more than I asked for!”

“I just recorded a huge narration for a luxury car maker. After I got home, I found an email from the client in my inbox, telling me that everyone was SO pleased with the work I had done for them, that he was INCREASING the amount of my invoice!  So, they actually volunteered to pay me more than I asked  for!  That's a first in my life, and I'm truly thankful for all your help and support.” Maxine Dunn, Boulder, Co

Voice-over career skyrockets with long term project

“I wanted to let you know that I have been hired by Pearson Education to be the voice of their online computer science learning system . It’s a long term project. That job has also led to some others narrating dental software training videos. Things are really ramping up here and I am very excited.” Keith Jedlicka, Leominster, Ma
And while I can’t promise results like these, how would your life change if you could turn your God-given voice talent into a lucrative side-hustle?

And how much would you need to spend to start just about any other small business?

Experts say the average small business owner spends at least $40,000 in start-up costs including equipment, insurance, taxes and payroll., not including specialized training.

If you wanted to open a franchise, the average start-up cost is about $50.000.

But as a Charter Member in my Business of Voice Over (BOVO) Coaching Program you won’t even pay a fraction of those start-up costs.

If accepted, you get a full-year with me and your coaching cohort, including 12 group coaching and implementation calls, plus a ticket to the 2025 BOVO Celebration Event at my studio for only $297 per month  (or pay in full at $2970 and receive 2 months free).

That’s far less than what you’d pay for a college credit or two, assuming you could even find a college with a voice over training program!

But instead of being taught by “fluffy academics” and taking a bunch of courses that mean nothing to you… you will be getting a real-world  voice over business education on the things that are working right now, based on my many decades of experience!.

Before  you say yes, however, there is one final requirement you must meet. Please make sure you can comply before applying…
My “Set-In-Stone” Requirement
The “Business of Voice Over Coaching Program” requires a 12-month commitment. If you drop out or leave the program early, there will be no full or partial refunds.

There  are three very important reasons I require  this commitment:

Reason #1 - Because of the great demand for the program, I only want SERIOUS applicants. Think about it: if I let someone in who is “lukewarm”, and they drop out midway… then someone who really wants to join would have missed their opportunity. I can’t allow that to happen. I only want voice talent who are dead serious about becoming successful—so if that’s not you, feel free to stop reading now.

Reason #2 – Your  12-month requirement is a gift to you. It’s intended to keep you on track if the going gets tough. I’m not going to “let you off the hook” by giving up halfway. With this requirement, I know you’re in it for the long-haul.

Reason #3 – We’re a team! My team and I will be investing many hours in your success. We will all be working together for the greater good and it’s not fair to your class cohort or my team if you’re not 100% “all-in.”
So let’s get real: Do you even need this type of coaching?
Well, maybe you’re getting tons of bookings and have all the voice over work you’d ever want. Maybe you feel as though you can “just figure it out” on your own.

If you’re in that group, then I would say maybe you don’t “need” this coaching. I say “maybe,” because you’ll want to ensure that when you hit any dry spots or obstacles down the road, you have a plan to overcome them. And that’s one of the benefits of this program.

On the other hand..

If you’re struggling to gain traction in your VO efforts... If you’re hearing
‘crickets’ from your prospects and have no idea why... If you are unsure what the next step in your business is… and you are serious about fixing these things…

Then this program IS for you!

Because think about it like this: even the biggest, most famous, and most successful athletes, musicians, performers, and entrepreneurs have coaches in their corner. Even Tony Robbins—who is known as one of the world’s best and highest-paid coaches—has people that help coach him.

That’s why, no matter where you are right now, having an experienced coach in your corner will move you lightyears ahead. No matter the case, I hope by now I’ve made it completely clear that this program is not for everyone. But  since you’ve read this far and would like to join us…
