I’m got a brand-new FLASH training this month to
help you get voice over jobs on the freelance site UPWORK. My special guest will be emerging voice talent and Speak To Perform member Bob Lowdermilk. Bob got his first paying job on UPWORK one month after completing his demo and has since booked over 90 paying jobs for clients worldwide on the site in just a few short months …and they’re good jobs too!
As an Upwork voice talent, Bob’s done many radio commercials and e learning narrations, has become the voice of
three YouTube Channels.
Before I get into why this is so exciting for you, let me tell you a little bit about UPWORK, in case you’re not familiar with the site.
Like Fiverr, Upwork is a marketplace for online freelancers, including voice talent. They help you find projects, communicate with clients and get paid
And because freelance platforms are one of the 4 ways to get voice over jobs, I strongly recommend Upwork to our students. But you might be wondering…
What’s the difference between Fiverr and Upwork? Which one is better? The main difference between Fiverr and Upwork is that
Fiverr is geared towards hiring freelancers for one-time projects, while Upwork focuses on building long-term relationships between freelancers and clients, so you can acquire customers with greater long term value.Fiverr is a much bigger company than Upwork. In 2022 they had over 4 million active buyers while Upwork had 814,000.
On the surface, it might seem like Fiverr is the better deal.
But here’s the thing…
Buyers on Fiverr spent an average of $262 in 2022.
While Upwork's active clients spent $5,045…that’s nineteen times more!
The quality of clients on Upwork is more professional too.
Upwork buyers tend to be CEOs, startup founders, and established companies, while Fiverr buyers tend to be smaller business owners or general individuals.
So it’s not a matter of which site is better.
If you’re truly serious about your voice over business, you really should be on both! And that’s why I’ve put this Upwork Flash training together for you, in addition to the Fiverr training earlier this month.
